Henkel helped a major European automotive OEM achieve a CO2 reduction of nearly one-third as a result of their switch from aluminum rocker panel reinforcement to Henkel's structural Inserts. These inserts are custom-designed to reinforce targeted areas of the vehicle design, eliminating the need for heavier metal reinforcements that require more energy to produce. Switching to structural inserts reduces vehicle weight, maintains effective crash performance, and lowers supply chain CO2 emissions.
