Rubber repair is one of the most important maintenance activities in heavy industry processes such as Mining, Lifting and Handling, and Industrial processing machinery.
Delivering the best repair performances is mandatory in these processes and the ideal repairing material is something that can replicate the rubber physical characteristics in the shortest time possible.
Henkel, specifically, developed two elastomeric products that are able to do this in few hours after the application to avoid/reduce dismantling time: LOCTITE® PC 7350 and PC 7352. Respectively a polyurethane and a polyurea based 2-component adhesives, they are provided into "easy to apply by hand" 2k cartridges and can cover most of the rubber repair requirements: LOCTITE® PC 7350 is perfect to repair large horizontal surfaces whereas LOCTITE® PC 7352 is suggested for small vertical applications. A comparative testing and comprehensive study on their key performances is here discussed.
