This acetoxy silicone paste for stamped flanges cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible rubber gasket.
LOCTITE® SI 5015 is a blue, 1-part RTV (room temperature vulcanising) acetoxy silicone paste, which cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air, to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. This product resists ageing, weathering, and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking, or cracking. Ideal for stamped parts and safe for use with automotive oxygen sensors. Typical applications include valve covers, timing gear covers, differential covers, oil sumps, transmission pans, water pumps, and thermostat housings. This product is typically used in applications with an operating range of -54°C to 204°C (-65°F to 400°F).
